    Music Box Concerts

A concert series created for babies and toddlers ages 6 months to 3 years and their families, the Music Box Series gives your budding music-lover the chance to explore music through highly engaging and interactive performances. Each concert also includes thirty minutes of fun pre-concert activities. Music Box concerts take place at AMP by Strathmore.

  • Schools

BSO on the GO: BSO on the Go puts selected BSO musicians into the county's elementary schools (including Title I schools). In contrast to a passive auditorium concert, these interactive programs take place in a more intimate classroom setting that encourages students and musicians to engage one another.

OrchLab: In partnership with Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS), the BSO’s OrchLab program works to enrich the instrumental music curriculum, enhance student performance skills and offer professional development to school music educators. The OrchLab program is delivered at no cost at selected elementary, middle and high schools that serve high numbers of students in poverty.

  • Adults

The BSO offers a range of programming for adults at the Music Center at Strathmore and community venues throughout Montgomery County.

    BSO Podcasts

Beginning in September, the BSO will be offering insights about our concert selections in a digital podcast format. Our podcast presenters will be Classical WETA 90.9FM On-Air Hosts David Ginder and Marilyn Cooley, and WBJC 91.5FM Program Director Jonathan Palevsky.
